PFRG Research Library

Research beyond a single system.

Pre-Failure Research Group examines structural failure across technology, governance, knowledge, and public systems. These projects are separate where they need to be, while sharing a common discipline: identify the failure condition before building the remedy.

Knowledge Architecture

The Open Human Record Initiative

A framework for presumptive public access to historical archives, with harm-based restriction and independent review.

Knowledge Architecture

Truth Memory Vaults

A physical, air-gapped repository architecture for an ungated Universal Commons.

Systems Research

Education System Reform

A replacement framework built around individual learning, community transmission, and a Universal Commons.

Governance Framework

Accountability & Age Verification

A privacy-preserving risk and age-eligibility architecture for AI and social-platform interaction.

Open Utility

QR Scanner Tools

Local-first QR scanning utilities for desktop and Android, designed so decoding stays on the device.

Founding Framework

A New Foundation

Rebuilding the Declaration of Independence's four claims on an auditable, harm-based foundation with a governance architecture built to enforce it.

Housing & Community Research

Housing Preservation & Nonprofit Development

A sanitized case study on housing preservation, resident accessibility, and a proposed nonprofit organizational response.

Grant Research & Funding Strategy

Agricultural Grant & Funding Strategy

A sanitized case study evaluating grant and funding pathways for a small regenerative agricultural operation.

Public Conduct Research

FAITH Initiative

A public-safe research framework for documenting observable solicitation mechanics without evaluating theology or profiling private individuals.

Behavior & Communication Research

The Eightfold Signal

A reconstructed octopus communication research framework centered on observation, pattern analysis, controlled testing, and explicit evidence states.

Research Outreach

Octopus Communication Project Brief

A concise expert-facing brief describing the research question, proposed starting sequence, safeguards, and collaboration needs.

Attribution

About Ash Halloway

A note on provenance — the AI collaboration behind portions of PFRG's early research and development.

A common design discipline

These projects do not all belong to OmniSniffer. PFRG applies pre-failure thinking across different domains, preserving the boundaries between independent systems while carrying forward recurring principles such as minimum necessary data, visible failure, distributed accountability, and resistance to capture.

The research library will expand as additional work is ready for public disclosure. Implementation details may remain withheld where disclosure would compromise research integrity, security, or intellectual property.
